A little bit about me.

Hello, I am Natalie Helman, founder of Lovebirth! I’m a hypnobirthing practitioner accredited by the BirthBliss Academy. I am also a qualified three step rewind practitioner, in helping support those who have experienced birth trauma or any other type of trauma.

For the past 15 years, I have been a graphic designer, working mainly for luxury retailers (Harvey Nichols, Net-a-Porter, Selfridges, etc). I LOVE design and I’ve always been highly career driven and ambitious. My focus however, shifted after I fell pregnant.

I lost my darling mum, seven years ago, my role model and inspiration, and I felt even more anxious going into this new phase of my life without her. I wanted to help dispel that worry and fear around labour, birth and parenthood. Being a polycystic ovary sufferer I became interested in holistic ways of supporting my body through pregnancy, including acupuncture, reflexology, and yoga.

Then I discovered hypnobirthing, and went to a local course with my husband. I was fascinated. I’d always heard stories, through society and the media, about labour being difficult, painful and a struggle. Our teacher showed us just HOW incredible our bodies are, and I realised that I needed to trust my intuition and feel confident in my own ability to give birth. We learnt how to rewire our subconscious minds by flooding them with positive stories, suggestions and images of birth. I was inspired to train and become a hypnobirthing practitioner myself, almost immediately! After the course, I threw myself into reading and learning more as well as using affirmations and carving out time for me and my bump to enjoy this journey to bond.

My birth was empowered, positive and…exciting (but that’s a story for another time!). And that is WHY I am passionate about helping parents, with hypnobirthing, giving them the techniques to have the positive birth experience they deserve and love.

I teach courses in person, around Hertfordshire and North London. Virtual courses are on offer for those people further afield.

Aside from work, I love to spend quality time with my 5 year old daughter Sienna, and 2 year old son, Casey. I love to design branding and illustrations for private clients and to travel with my family. I also enjoy, fitness and holistic wellness, that brings together the mind, body and soul.

birth is painful. It’s that women are strong.”
